Chobi Maroon/Cream Persian Rug (No10)
Chobi was developed in Lahore and weaving centres were set up in border region of Pakistan and Afghanistan where they are mostly produced. Eastern producers create new styles modifying the boldness of the traditional rugs in order to give a muted and antique look. Chobi are hand single knotted with hand carded wool and colourfast vegetable dyes. Each knot is done by hand, with 200 knots per square inch, tightly wound to ensure not only an exquisite pattern but also a long lasting durable pile.
